The Spherical Pneumatic Line Magnet combines high-gauss magnetic strength with engineered fragment retention design, to effectively capture and retain even the smallest metal fines, chips, fine wear iron, and even rust flakes in high-velocity flow applications. The bellied housing around the aerodynamic magnet minimizes pressure change and prevents particle breakdown or bulk density change to the product.

While magnetic strength (gauss or pull strength) is not the only principle that defines a magnetic separator’s efficiency, it is obviously an important one. The Spherical Pneumatic Transfer Magnets are certified at 12,000-13,000 gauss strength, more than double the magnetic strength of many alternative conventional pneumatic line magnets on the market today!
Positioning a magnet bar in-line (instead of transverse) with product flow, greatly limits a magnet’s ability to retain collected fragments against a high velocity flow of materials. Conventional ‘bullet magnets’ and other pneumatic line magnets lack retention efficiency due to a limited fragment retention zone. The Spherical large-diameter (4-6inch / 100-150mm) magnet element is positioned transverse to the product flow, enabling the magnet to ‘hang-on tightly’ or retain metal fragments.
The Spherical Magnet is a very compact design, making it easy to install into your existing process. Whether you’re fitting a magnetic separator into an existing process, or a new process, the compact design, and range of connection fittings make it easy to implement. Specify your fitting of choice on the magnet inlet and outlet. (Morris coupling, tri-clover, Tuf-lok, camlock, or a combination of these).
Reduced risk of re-contamination. Due to the engineered spherical shape of the magnet, the captured material will tend to move around, by the flow of the product, to accumulate in the low-pressure region of the large-diameter sphere. In comparison, Bullet Magnets and other pneumatic line magnets have a flat base or flat raised poles which often do not hold tightly enough to weakly magnetic fragments, therefore risk being dislodged and re-entering the product flow.
The Spherical Magnet is a more effective, more user-friendly, more sanitary alternative to outdated Bullet Magnet designs. Many companies, such as mills, bakeries, and confectionary plants are making the switch to Spherical Magnets and reporting increased separation efficiency and metal retention yields.
