Bullnose Plate Magnet

Effective, High-Intensity Plate Magnet System

The Bullnose Plate Magnet takes the conventional “hump-magnet” to a whole new level of separation efficiency. The Bullnose Plate Magnet Unit can be supplied with a single or dual plate, depending on whether the application is a straight gravity drop or a sloping chute.

The Single Bullnose Plate is designed to be positioned on the underside of an enclosed sloping chute, while the Dual Bullnose design employs two powerful Bullnose Plate Magnets, positioned on each side of a vertical product flow, along with a powerful magnetic splitter-bar positioned in the center of the product flow to direct the product towards the magnets on either side.

The Bullnose plate magnets are mounted inside hinged doors for easy accessibility, inspection, and cleaning. These units are fully adjustable, which enables you to set the magnets in the most ideal position to maximize separation efficiency, without blocking product flow.

The Bullnose Plate magnet design provides significant advantages vs. conventional hump-magnet designs

Post-install adjustability. Both the Single and Dual Bullnose Plate magnet designs allow you to fine-tune the position of the one or two bullnose plate magnets to achieve maximum separation efficiency, whilst allowing flowability in incline applications or choke-fed and high-volume gravity flow applications.

The dual design provides 3X product-to-magnet contact points. The magnetic splitter bar not only provides magnetic separation in the center of flow, but also serves as a splitter bar to direct the flow of product toward the two bullnose plate magnets on the side. These 3x magnets combined, provide a phenomenal ability to pull foreign metals out of choke-fed and/or high-volume gravity flow applications.

High-strength magnetic force for greater metal fragment retention. Minimum 10,000-11,000 gauss on both the center Splitter Bar Magnet as well as the side Bullnose Plate magnets.

Retention Zones. With strong fragment retention zones at all points, the Bullnose Plate Magnet is unrivaled in its ability to separate not only the large and damaging tramp metal, but also to collect AND retain the small and weakly-magnetic fragments. These large retention zones allow the force of the product flow to push the metal fragments directly to the safe-zone, where they are safely retained until cleaning.
